Andina Bakery and Andina Notting Hill, 155 and 157 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill - Opening in May
Notting Hill, we have something very special for you. In May we will open London’s first Peruvian bakery, Andina Bakery at 155 Westbourne Grove. This is only part of the surprise. Our bakery sits adjacent to Andina Picanteria at 157 Westbourne Grove, our new restaurant celebrating the soul food of the Peruvian Andes. Both are the result of many years traveling and researching the food, breads and pastries of the Andes of Peru. Together, they pay homage to the Andina women chefs who have inspired our founder and chef Martin Morales and our team since we opened our first award-winning restaurant Ceviche.
Headed up by our Head Baker Ana Velasquez, Andina Panaderia will specialise in slow-ferment baking with traditional sweet and savoury pastries and breads alongside hot pot stews, lunchtime salads and all-day brunch-style dishes to eat in or take away. Next door’s Andina Picanteria is headed up by Chef Luca Depalo and will serve exquisite feasting dishes, unique brunch specials, light small bites and perfect pisco cocktails and wines.
Designed by Barcelona’s award-winning El Equipo Creativo – the team behind Ferran and Albert Adria’s iconic restaurants – our open-plan bakery and cafe at Andina Panaderia is a contemporary take on an Andina bakery, that will also shine a light on pottery and provide a space for leading London and Peruvian makers to retail their works through a series of month-long collaborations. Next door, our Andina Picanteria will have an open kitchen lined with stone surfaces designed to put chefs in the limelight thanks to counter dining on a home style chef’s table.
We look forward to giving you and our new friends in Notting Hill a typically warm Peruvian welcome.
