Run by Martin Morales and Duncan Ballantyne, the label has been championing the harmony of music and food, since 2012.
Peruvian chef, award winning cookbook author, restaurateur and music producer Martin travels frequently to Peru in search of recipes, records, sounds and inspiration for a variety of projects many of which channel through the record label or his Ceviche and Andina restaurants.
Duncan Ballantyne has long been a Latin afficionado as collector and researcher having worked for labels like Soundway and Far Out. He now sidesteps between Madrid and London running a boutique music and arts agency, Ballantyne Communications, working on a range of intercultural projects.
It is the ongoing support from the artists, our sister label Strut Records and our many distribution and licensing partners in Peru and across the world that we are eternally grateful to.
The latest release and compilation ANDINA: Huayno, Carnaval and Cumbia: The Sound of the Peruvian Andes 1968-1978 coincided with the ANDINA cookbook release published by Quadrille in 2017.
