“I was just six years old when I first experienced Andean bakeries. I was visiting my grandmother in Santiago de Chuco, and after an eight-hour journey I was greeted by incredible aromas of fresh bread and pastries that have stayed with me ever since.
For the last few years my team and I have been travelling across the Andes, learning about new recipes, ingredients and techniques, which we are excited to present at our new bakery.” Martin Morales, founder of Andina.
Our Andina Bakery will be the place to sample authentic Peruvian bakes delicately crusty pan frances rolls and chancay, brioche-style breads. Or for a full meal, try our all-day Andean brunch-style dishes like chicharron pork belly rolls, empanadas and pancakes.
Not only a home for Peruvian baking in London, Andina Bakery shines a light on pottery, providing a space for leading London and Peruvian makers to retail their works through a series of month-long collaborations throughout the year.
Next door, you’ll find Andina. An ode to the family-run, roadside restaurants in the Andes, its menu will showcase new flavours and dishes garnered from team’s travels to Martin’s native Peru.
